Rochester Castle Concerts announce the Libertines, The Jacksons, UB40 & Jools Holland

AGMP Presents four days of outdoor live shows within the grounds of Rochester Castle

Rochester Castle is set to host four days of concerts once again this summer offering an eclectic mix of talent.

Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra with Eddi Reader, Gilson Davis, Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and The Brand Heavies perform on the opening Wednesday night, while indie rock icons The Libertines will headline on Thu 9 Jul before one of the world's most iconic Motown groups The Jacksons on Fri 10 Jul. To round off this short but sweet week of gigs on Sat 11 Jul, The Dualers, The Beat, Stone Foundation perform ahead of headline act UB40.

The 12th-century keep is an English Heritage site that welcomes visitors year-round and concert-goers in the summer, but this year, the events will be led by AGMP Ltd, relieving Medway Council.

Cllr Howard Doe, Portfolio Holder for Community Services at Medway Council, said: “We are pleased that Castle Concerts will still be taking place in Medway this summer and that AGMP Ltd have come up with a line-up of diverse acts for the summer series.

“With much experience in running large music events, AGMP Ltd is keen to build on the popularity of Castle Concerts and we are particularly pleased that the company is offering local bands and singers the opportunity to perform on stage at this year's Castle Concerts to showcase local talent.”
