Capturing the attention of many with his 2017 single “Foreign Hands”, now on over 47M streams, the Canterbury artist has made a name for himself with stellar releases including “Surveillance”, “Birdsong” and “October”.

George Ogilvie has refined his pensive, soul-stirring music indie sound, seeking inspiration from song-writing greats such as Jeff Buckley but from the likes of The Killers and Bombay Bicycle Club

And with his newest release White Out stands a truly significant body of work. Recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World studios and produced by Ali Staton (PJ Harvey, Snow Patrol), his first project since 2018 displays a level of control and subtlety in vocal style that underlines why he is loved by so many across the globe. Including previous tracks “Tremosine”, “Grave”, “In Only A Day” and the more recent “Die Down” plus eight unreleased songs, White Out is purposefully crafted affair.

From the beautifully raw instrumentation of opener “A Different Kind” to the serenity and stillness of “Mood Painting”, George takes the listener on quite a journey - one that evokes different moods and a sense of introspection. Bringing to life personal subjects like his drinking problems, battles with mental health and more, White Out is in many ways therapy for the soul. Not heavy on the production, it’s acoustic and simple in execution, giving way for imaginative song writing and an outstanding yet heartfelt performance.

Justified with over 75M streams on Spotify alone, previous support from LONDON IN STEREO, THE LINE OF BEST FIT, CLASH and DIY, and with sold out shows in London and multiple festival appearances from the UK and Europe, George has also been impressing fans both with the music and the live performances, showing he has come a long way from his busking days in the streets of Canterbury.

George’s vocal talent and innate, emotional connect continue to define him as one of the UK’s most exciting new voices. And with White Out, it serves to further amplify the sense that something very special is destined for this humble star.
