Adventure Cinema’s UK-wide tour heads to Maidstone

The outdoor Adventure Cinema has confirmed a visit to Whatman Park in August

Friends and families across Kent are invited to pack a picnic, pick a cosy blanket and escape the indoors this month, as Adventure Cinema’s new socially-spacious open-air cinema tour heads to Maidstone.

Primed to put the magic back into going to the movies, the tour will be stopping at some of the UK’s most incredible outdoor venues and scenic spaces in the coming weeks, including Whatman Park on August 26th and 27th..

Also known as Millennium Park, this 18-acre beauty spot includes wildflower meadows, treetop walks, a skate park, an open-air performance area and more, making it a true Swiss Army venue!

With an on-site bar, hot food and snacks available (though picnics are welcome too), screenings will be held on the grass in front of the bandstand.

Adventure Cinema is the UK’s biggest touring outdoor cinema, with a wealth of experience hosting large-scale events. To ensure the safety of this tour without hampering the magic of the movies, the team has chosen socially spacious, open-air venues for the entirety of the UK-wide tour. When entering each venue, groups will be guided to their picnic space by friendly stewards, who will seat people safely away from other groups. Other measures include wide aisles to the left, right and centre of the event space, allowing people to safely move around, and regularly cleaned, individual toilet units with hand sanitising stations outside. So whether picnicking with pals or enjoying a big family outing, visitors can rest assured that they’re in a safe space.

The films on show will be The Greatest Showman Sing-A-Long (PG) at 8:30pm on Thursday, August 26th and Grease Sing-A-Long (PG) at 8:30pm on Friday, August 27th.

Tickets for Adventure Cinema start from £14.50 + Booking fee and are available now via: adventurecinema.co.uk/
