'Adult Playground' bar brings in Kent's biggest sports screen and 'pornstar pong'

Ballin’ Maidstone has already turned heads with its neon decor and party vibes

There’s no doubt Ballin’ (@ballinmaidstone) has brought plenty of balls to Maidstone since it opened early this summer.

With its table tennis, American pool and beer pong tables, the new venue in Bank Street is being touted as a sports-bar-with-a-difference, combining gaming with live music, DJs and a party vibe.

And now co-owners Luke Gibb and Jack Simmonds have unveiled a line-up of events for the coming months, including a one-off club night as well as 80s, 90s and 00s parties throughout the autumn.

The pair says the venue is an ‘adults playground’ with concepts aimed at impressing their guests and bringing something new to the town.

“Not only can you expect brunches, gaming, live sports and the ultimate party vibes, get ready for live DJs and entertainment too,” they said.

The new bar has four table tennis tables, two American pool tables, eight pornstar and beer pong tables in addition to Kent’s largest screen and 22 additional screens for live sports coverage.

There is an American-inspired food menu and a selection of brunch options, which includes gaming, food and drinks.

On Thursday, August 26, is the Summer Lovin’ cinema event, with Mr Gibb and Mr Simmonds promising a cinematic showing of Greece like no other.

“Expect hosts, games, live performances, roller skates, diner-inspired food, themed cocktails and a full venue High School-inspired production,” they said.

On September 11, there will be a one-off exclusive club night where the gaming will be packed away and a dance floor opened.

And on September 4, October 9 and November 13 there will be the ‘Bring it Back’ events with 80s, 90s and 00s parties with live DJs, percussion and entertainment.

There is also a Seconds Out live boxing show on Sunday, September 26.

Ballin’ is open Friday (5pm-1am), Saturday (12pm-2am) and Sunday (12pm to midnight).
