New 'Life' lightshow heading to Rochester Cathedral

‘Life’ has been created by Luxmuralis, the team behind last years sold out ‘Space Voyage’

Journey through earth, sea and sky from sunrise to sunset. This Autumn Rochester Cathedral will be transformed by a stunning son-et-lumiere inspired by our beautiful planet.

‘Life’ has been created by Luxmuralis, the team behind last years sold out ‘Space Voyage.’

A sound and light show will take visitors on a journey to reflect on life on today’s planet in a single 24 hour period. The show will take place over five nights from the 4th – 8th October. Tickets are available now through the Rochester Cathedral website.

‘Life’ will take visitors from sunrise to sunset, journeying through the beauty of planet earth, witnessing the sun, the oceans and the clouds. The show has been created by award winning artistic collaboration Luxmuralis, Peter Walker Sculptor and David Harper Composer. Sound and light art will be projected onto architectural features transforming the space. Visitors will be immersed in soundscapes as they walk through the projections that are all around them on a explorative journey through the artworks.

Last year Luxmuralis brought ‘Space Voyage‘ to Rochester Cathedral for three nights. The show sold out with weeks to go and audiences were wowed by their journey through the stars. To accommodate demand, the Cathedral has added two additional nights to the programme.

‘Life’ will be at Rochester Cathedral from the 4th – 8th October. Tickets must be pre-booked through the Rochester Cathedral website and timed entry will be in operation. Online ticket prices are £8 for adults, £4.50 for under 18’s and £22 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children). Under 3’s go free but must have a ticket. Advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
