Celebrated international r&b star Kwaye is returning to his Kent roots for a one-off gig in support of the under-threat youth service GIfted Young Gravesham (GYG).

After more than 12 years in operation, GYG is under the threat of closure due to lack of funding, meaning that access to free, arts-themed, workshops would no longer be available to young people.

One of the biggest success stories of the GYG is Kwaye, who is currently releasing music to more than 200k monthly listeners on Spotify. His hit track ‘Lost In My Boots’ has garnered more than 11 million streams.

Kwaye has been in LA for some years but is now back in the UK and has agreed to be part of the GYG Reunion night in Gravesend on December 8th.

Held at at Blakes nightclub, Kwaye and four other GYGers will take to the stage including, Thomas Jay, Brooke Sylvia, Johnny Taiwo and West End performer Charlie Fights.

There are only 250 tickets available, costing £9 with all profits going to the youth service to help try and sustain the free services on offer to young people.
