Only Fools returns to Margate with The Jolly Boys Outing Exhibit

Dreamland to host the 30th anniversary exhibition in tribute to Del, Rodney and the Only Fools and Horses cast

The Jolly Boys are back in Margate this summer to celebrate a pretty big birthday.

This August, Dreamland will host its biggest ever Only Fools and Horses exhibition for the 30th anniversary of one of its most popular episodes, the Christmas special The Jolly Boys’ Outing.

From 9th to 30th August, Dreamland’s Ballroom will host a special exhibition compiled by the Only Fools Appreciation Society, featuring an incredible collection of original costumes, props, and sets with contributions and assistance from series creator John Sullivan. And there may even be some special guest appearances over the course of the exhibition.

Filmed on location at Dreamland in August 1989, The Jolly Boys’ Outing saw the whole Only Fools and Horses gang journey from their South London home to the golden Margate Sands. With classic moments including Denzil’s ‘disease’, the exploding coach, and Del Boy being reunited with Raquel, it became one of the best loved episodes from the series.

The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 5pm, and tickets cost from £7.50.

Dreamland is open every day from 19th July to 1st September for the summer Roller Coast Festival, with activities, character appearances, films screenings and games for all ages every week. The park is free to enter, and guests can pay per ride or buy discounted ride wristbands in advance online. Dreamland members get the most out the park, with unlimited rides and multiple discounts across the site throughout the year.
