BEANS ON TOAST AT THE ALBION ROOMS WITH SOS WHITSTABLE

“Think of it being a bit like Live Aid - but about sh*t, in the sea”

Cult folk hero and festival legend Beans on Toast will be coming to The Albion Rooms this April for a special weekend of music.

Performing two small intimate shows in The Wasteland, he's also gonna be utilising the studio to record a protest song about the local water company Southern Water and its impact on the environment.

Beans says: “Southern Water is a privatised water company that illegally dumps raw sewage off the Kent coast while raking in huge profits - despite criminal prosecution. Leading the charge against them is SOS Whitstable, for whom Beans has written this song.

”The plan is to get as many local Kent musicians who support the cause to play on the track, make some noise and make a stand. Think of it being a bit like Live Aid - but about sh*t, in the sea, in Kent.

”Tickets are £10 and very limited, so snap them up quick to make this a reality. Fear not, the gigs won't all be about sh*t. You'll get the usual mix of singing, thinking and laughing you'd expect from a Beans gig, expect a few guest appearances, too.”
