Vertical drop and augmented climbing wall at Clip & Climb Thanet

With over 15 climbing challenges, for adults and kids, the experience is set to open early 2022

Are you ready to take on an eight metre vertical drop slide? Or perhaps an Olympic-themed speed climb?

Well now’s your chance with the upcoming launch of a new Clip n’ Climb, this time located at Westwood in Broadstairs.

The centre, of which there are 325 worldwide with four in Kent, will be located at the Westwood Retail Park and open to everyone aged two years and up.

It will include the popular Stairway to Heaven, the Olympic-themed Speed Climb and an impressive eight metre vertical drop slide.

The centre will also boast the Valo Climb - an augmented climbing wall combining projected graphics and body tracking to create interactive games and training applications.

There will be multiple birthday party rooms, a soft play area and café with seating overlooking the arena.

Clip ‘n Climb Thanet manager Tom Hickman says the purpose-built climbing centre aims to provide an exhilarating, adrenaline-fueled, safe space for the entire family to experience something new and push their limits.

“With over 15 climbing challenges, using auto belay devices, we make climbing easy, reassuring and fun,” he said.

“Over the next year we will be developing our community programme, things to look out for will include holiday schemes, team-building activities, a school programme, adult events and pre-school activity centre.

“We cannot wait to open the doors and welcome you to our centre, opening early 2022.

“Please follow our social media outlets for more information on prices, opening times, job opportunities and more.”
