Kent adventure festival Camp Wildfire appears on Dragon's Den

Founders Lee & Jules pitched their festival to the famous BBC business gurus

The founders of Kent-based adventure festival Camp Wildfire, appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den last night looking for a deal with the infamous business gurus.

Julia Lowe and Lee Denny initially asked for a £75,000 investment with a 5% stakehold in their business model. While renowned Dragon, Deborah Meaden liked the pitch and offered an initial 25% stakeholder while funding the full £75,000 investment, the couple negotiated for better terms and ultimately walked away from the deal.

The pair took to social media to say: “Pitching to the dragons was easily the scariest thing we’ve ever done. We’re glad that we took on the challenge (after all that’s what camp is all about).”
