Kent's Blue Reef Festival unveils 2024 line-up

Including Beans on Toast, Brandon Block, Starsailor, Dodgy, Turin Brakes and Samuel Ashton




Returning to the scenic corner of Loddington Farm, Maidstone, Blue Reef Festival (@blue_reef_fest) has announced the line-up for 2024.

Having extended into two days back in 2023, this year’s festival will feature four stages and an enviable line-up on 26th and 27th July.

Founder John Wingate will bring the fourth edition to Loddington, where it found a home in 2021 and now, thanks to the site’s Blue Reef Coffee Shop hosting live music sessions, a community of musicians and artists has developed into a year-round music and creative arts hub. 

Since its inception, Blue Reef has been synonymous with surf culture and the classic campervan scene and is once again set to be packed full of live music, camping, arts and culture, paired with an incredible selection of world food and drink alongside produce from the Farm.  

LINE-UP

Scouting For Girls: The Saturday headliner - unstoppable indie-pop sensation known for their infectious energy and irresistible hits.

Turin Brakes: With a stellar track record including Mercury Prize nominations and chart-topping singles, they're sure to rock the Blue Reef stage.

Starsailor: Bursting onto the scene in 2001, earning the title of "Britain's best new band" with their single "Fever”, followed up with chart-topping hits like "Good Souls" and "Four to the Floor".

Dodgy: The band that dominated the charts with hits like 'Staying Out For The Summer,' 'Good Enough,' and 'Melodies Haunt You,' have become known for their incredible festival performances!

Beans on Toast: The Whitstable-based folk songwriter is not your average artist. With a D.I.Y. spirit and contemporary lyricism, he's become a cult figure known for telling it like it is. Whether you call him a hippy, a punk, or a poet, one thing's for sure – his music is a genre-twisting journey through life's big issues.

Brandon Block: Brandon Block has rocked super clubs like Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, and Miss Moneypenny’s. He's even graced the airwaves with appearances on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix and became synonymous with the legendary terrace at Space, Ibiza, cementing his status as a 'superstar DJ.'

Duke: The live mashup and remixing powerhouse combining three voices and one guitar, have more than earned a reputation for getting the crowd jumping. Racking up millions of views on YouTube and supporting Prince during his record breaking O2 Arena tour, get ready for a set that'll have you on your feet!

Samuel Ashton: Bringing a message of hope and resilience, echoing classic soul with modern influences. This Canterbury-based Soul Man has sold out headline shows in London, Brighton, and throughout the South-East. Those lucky enough to of seen him blow the roof of the Blue Reef Sessions last season, will know his live performances are not to be missed!

Town of Cats: The Brighton born Town of Cats is a sonic alchemy of funk rhythms, blazing brass, and genre-bending guitar riffs. Brace yourselves for a journey through genres, with lyrics packed with wordplay, wit, and wisdom.

Sand & Stone: The sibling duo have been captivating audiences since 2010 with their heartfelt songwriting and soulful harmonies. From showcasing their original material at the prestigious Songwriters Masterclass event at the Apple store in Covent Garden to making it through to the live stages of The Voice UK in 2018, Abi and Tom have been making waves in the music scene.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: Get ready to dance with this notorious act behind the iconic remix of Lisa Stansfield's "People Hold On."

Concrete Kid: Bringing a beautifully eerie blend of synth folk melodies to main stage.

The Showhawk Duo: Prepare to be amazed by their boundary-breaking approach to guitar playing, showcased in viral videos that have received millions of views.
