Maidstone to continue their FA Cup fairytale




Maidstone United have been drawn Sheffield Wednesday or Coventry City against in the last 16 of the FA Cup.

Maidstone (@maidstoneunited) continued their FA Cup fairytale after stunning Championship high flyers Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Saturday, January 27th.

The Stones won the game 2-1 with superb goals from Lamar Reynolds and Sam Corne.

They will now face Coventry City in the last 16 during the week of February 28th, the furthest the club has ever got in the FA Cup.

They will know who they are facing after the two sides have played each other on February 6th.

Maidstone have already beaten League One Stevenage with a 1-0 win in the third round.

The incredible achievement for the sixth tier side was made all the better with game being shown live on BBC One.

This is the biggest win since the club was reformed in 1992.
