More artists announced for run of gigs at Dreamland
Margate Summer Series has announced even more shows for 2024 as the very best homegrown and international talent head to Dreamland this year.
One of the UK’s most successful dance acts, Rudimental (Saturday 8th June), will return to Dreamland with another electrifying DJ set, having broken through over a decade ago, the collective has created multiple chart-topping singles including These Days, Feel the Love and Waiting All Night. They’ll be joined by influential producer and DJ SHY FX, the creator of ground-breaking jungle anthem Original Nuttah.
German rave machine, Scooter (Friday 6th September) will host Kent’s biggest ever rave with special guests Symmetrik and Neptunica. After forming in the early 90s, Scooter have been an unstoppable force in the electronic music scene and this will be a show like no other. Expect trance, dubstep and electro-house sounds mixed with a carnivalesque show packed full of lasers, pyrotechnics, dancers and performers.
As if that wasn’t enough the UK’s ultimate family rave will return as Margate Summer Series presents Raver Tots, (Sunday 8th September). Joining the line-up for this day event are garage innovators, Artful Dodger, with classic floor fillers including, Re-Rewind ft. Craig David, Moving Too Fast and Woman Trouble plus DJ Hype, Matt Jam Lamont, Nicky Blackmarket.
Further special guests have been announced for an array of shows including Liverpool rockers, The Lightning Seeds, joining British icons Madness (Friday 14th June). Frontman Ian Broudie will churn out hits including, Pure, The Life of Riley and of course, Three Lions. Joining Scottish rock band Simple Minds (Thursday 20th June) are Del Amitri proponents of an easy blend of pop and country-rock that made them a worldwide radio staple since the mid-80s, with hits including Roll To Me.
Singer and former Love Island star Wes Nelson will join Craig David (Friday 21st June), poetic and emotive singer – songwriter Albin Lee Meldau will join Jack Savoretti (Friday 5th July) and top UK boyband JLS (Saturday 6th July) will be joined by hitmaker rapper and singer Tinchy Stryder.
Former member of the Happy Mondays, Shaun Ryder, will be joining Richard Ashcroft (Friday 12th July) with his band Black Grape, mixing psychedelic rock, with pop and hip-hop sounds, as well as rock band Dodgy, who rose to prominence in the 90s, culminating in a true celebration of Britpop. Finally, Irish singer songwriter and viral-sensation, Cian Ducrot, will join UK pop-queen, Jess Glynne (Friday 26th July).
Chart-topper, James Arthur (Saturday 25th August), will transfix audiences with his unwaveringly powerful vocals and multiple hits from ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’, ‘Impossible’, to ‘Rewrite The Stars’ and his latest album ‘Bitter Sweet Love’ which recently reached #1 in the Official Charts. With billions of streams it is easy to see how this pop-maker has become a household name.
Margate Summer Series will welcome not one but two of the world’s greatest electronic acts Leftfield & Orbital (Saturday 14th September). In careers spanning five decades, the influential Leftfield and Kent’s very own mighty Orbital will perform a historic double headline. Having last co-headlined together nearly a quarter of a century ago at NYE2000, this will be a rare opportunity to see these homegrown legends and innovators combine. Famed for their pioneering live shows, expect an unforgettable and monumental moment in the 2024 series calendar.
