Pride Canterbury returns on Saturday 11th September 2021

Boyband Five will headline the event and will be joined on stage by Cheryl Hole and Baga Chipz from RuPaul's Drag Race UK

The Pride Canterbury team has announced it will be going ahead in the City this year on Saturday 11th September.

A Parade through the streets of the city will be followed by a free to enter day long party in the Dane John’s Gardens.

Boyband Five will headline the event and will be joined on stage by Cheryl Hole and Baga Chipz from RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

Pride Canterbury will also feature a huge variety of local and international LGBTQ+ performers including Canterbury's very own 'hostess with the mostess', Delilah Tickles.

Committee member Jon Fitter-Harding said "It’s been over two years since we gathered together in the City to celebrate Pride in June 2019. Whilst this year we are coming together in September, it is no less important to acknowledge the fight for equality across the community and the struggles faced during Covid".

This year we are excited to be launching our partnership with the charity Porchlight and it’s LGBTQ+ focussed BeYou Project. We will be announcing more details about this soon.

The event will be supported by sponsors Quinn Estates, Canterbury Christ Church University, Redrow, Canterbury BID and other local businesses which will be announced shortly. Pride Canterbury would like to extend a huge Thank You to the City's businesses for coming together and making Pride Canterbury 2021 a reality.
